All countries in this world have their own symbols. They choose flags, coats of arms, anthems, highest mountains, sights, street features etc. Germany, for example chose oak, because it is strong and mighty, Russians chose birch, while Slovenia chose large-leaved limeand small-leaved lime. Why? It is a tree of life, tree of health, tree of judgement, tree of victory, tree of fertility and known as a sociable or dancing tree. Large-leaved limeand small-leaved lime from the very beginning. Among the many tree species of the middle Europe there is no tree species other than lime that would be so healing, blooming, fragrant and at the same time old and mighty that it stretches its branches and top high into the sky. Large-leaved limeand small-leaved lime have been sacred Slovenian trees long before the Christianity. With its might, it shows from the earth to the sky and with its with its age reminds of the timelessness.
